Meet Ken Levine

Author, Screen Writer, Retired Trial Attorney.

Ken Levine is a retired trial lawyer with more than 42 years’ experience representing clients in medical malpractice, birth trauma, brain damaged infant, and brachial plexus/erbs palsy, civil rights, voting rights and complex tort litigation.

While at Kenneth Levine & Associates, Ken developed a specialty and national reputation in the litigation of birth injury cases, in particular cases concerning infants who suffered brain damage at birth and erbs palsy/brachial plexus injuries. Ken Levine was the most recognized and successful attorney in the country for erbs palsy/brachial plexus injury cases. Ken represented families in birth injury, brain damage and erbs palsy/brachial plexus cases in more than forty states across the country. Mr. Levine also has been a trial consultant for birth injury cases in England, Canada, Australia, Ireland and Turkey. 

Mr. Levine has again been named to the Best Lawyers in American in the area of medical malpractice litigation for the year 2021-2022.

Based on his experience with complex medical cases, Mr. Levine was asked to take part in the Trial Lawyers Care program through the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and represented families of New York Fire and Police Departments who perished at the World Trade Center on September 11th before the Victims Compensation Fund on a pro bono basis.

Mr. Levine has argued before the Supreme Court of several states including Massachusetts, Kansas, Florida, Georgia, New York and Wisconsin as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the First, Second, Fifth, Seventh, Eighth and Ninth Circuits.

Ken has lectured on trial practice and obstetrical medical issues at the request of the American Association for Justice in Washington, D.C, the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, The Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and the Harvard Law School. 

Ken is also continuing his work as a legal consultant and screenwriter for films, movies and television. He relies on his years as a nationally known trial lawyer to advise studios, writers, directors and producers about courtroom scenes, dialogue, subject matter and trial procedure. Ken also works as a screenwriter for films, movies and television writing dialogue for courtroom and legal scenes. 

 Most recently Ken acted as a legal consultant and screenwriter with acclaimed writer Kata Weber, Cannes Film Festival award winning Director Kornél Mundruczó and Academy Award winning Director/Producer Martin Scorsese on the film Pieces of a Woman. He worked directly with writers, directors and producers on the set to assist the director and actors in the filming of courtroom and legal scenes. Ken was present on the movie set for the filming of the courtroom scenes working with Academy Award nominated actress Vanessa Kirby, Academy Award winner Ellen Burstyn and Emmy Award Winner Molly Parker as well as the other actors.
